Oh, whoops...I'm suppose to be speaking English...
Wow! This day has been amazing and El Salvador is so beautiful! Last night when we flew in, it was dark, but this morning, the world danced with life!
We have an hour commute into the city called Sonsonate, where we are working with the Spanish, deaf, public school. The first thing I learned there was keep your ears and eyes open! There are mangos falling from the trees!!! Look out below!
The second thing I learned was that I love hugs and smiles! All the children welcomed us with huge hugs, and one little boy even took his older brother, who was deaf and blind, by the hand to introduce him to us. They are so sweet and welcoming.
The day was hot and slighly humid, but the majority of the day we mostly cleaned up the yard; including ridding the garden's of weeds, picking up trash, and even transplanting trees!
Prayer Requests:
- Today we were studying courage in our devotions, so please continue to pray that we would have courage as we continue to walk hand and hand with Christ.
- Also please pray for the health of our team as we continue to work here in El Salvador. Jeremy Taguding was feeling a bit under the weather today and turned in early for a good night's sleep.
- Tomorrow our devotion is on compassion, so please pray that God would teach us to be compassionate towards each other and towards those we encounter.
Thank you so much for your prayers and love! I hope you all are having a good week and I guess it's time for me to hit the hay! Buenos Noches!
-Kathryn :)
Kathryn - Thanks for this great update! I'm praying for you all today as you minister at the deaf school again. Stay away from falling mangos.
